how can you NOT fall in love with this puppy??
45 minutes of bliss on friday, when i puppy-sat for my coworker.
by the way, though it looks like she's barking at my backpack, she was actually barking at my coworker who stuck his head through the window we created between our cubes. he just ducked his head away when i panned in that direction with my camera.

sooooooo...
my doctor wants to go into my knee again. again, he mentioned how i've painted him into a corner, and called me his toughest challenge. great.
so, as i predicted, i wait for the rest of the year in pain and then get surgery #4 at the beginning of next year. doctor wanted to do it now, but i had to ask to postpone it to next year and reminded him of my health insurance predicament with physical therapy.
between now and then, if i can find another reputable orthopedic doctor in the area, i'd like to get another opinion. i just ... i don't know anyone who knows other doctors. all the people i or my parents have asked all have gone or referred me to ones i've already seen or are from the same office from ones i've seen, so i don't know where i could get another opinion. does anyone know of any orthopedic doctors in the greater bay area at all? i would be more comfortable about agreeing to a fourth surgery if another doctor confirms that the surgery my doctor wants to do is the right one.
the hidden blessing in all of this is the email i got yesterday from HR when i emailed them again for the umpteenth time. i've been dialoguing with them back & forth over the past year and half about our pt coverage (or lack of), and i asked again yesterday about the status for next year's coverage on physical therapy. the reply was:
We have looked at our physical therapy benefits and have been working towards a solution that would provide some greater flexibility. We won't be ready to give you more details until our open enrollment period, which is in the early half of November. If you have further questions then, we'll be happy to address them.
not sure what that means, but it gives me a little glimmer of hope for next year! praise God!

i don't know if i can watch heroes by myself. it's scary! but i can't stop watching, i'm so intrigued! and i totally forgot prison break is on a 3-week hiatus. jenie & i were so disappointed last night.
