quick hits

1. olivia & matt(ie) got to see my coworker's puppy! so random, they were telling me how they got to play with a cute puppy on sunday in front of red rock... and it turns out it's her! i went to visit makena (the puppy) yesterday (coworker & i work in different buildings), and she's gotten a lot bigger. i wish i had my camera with me yesterday, since she got dressed up in a pumpkin costume, then a devil costume, and a skeleton costume. too cute. i need to puppy-sit her again.

2. last week at work was a nightmare, starting with what i will call the "unnamed incident" on monday to working ~70+ hours. i'm thankful that God granted me the extra hour of sleep just when i needed it, and for the prayer & praise sunday. it was the first prayer & praise sunday where i was not on the worship team, and it was wonderful & much needed - being able to particpate as part of the congregation and not the team. there's a lot i'm struggling and praying for regarding work, of which i cannot necessarily share here. maybe a protected post on xanga sometime in the future when it all sorts out.

3. making another trip to berkeley on saturday. hooray! going to watch the cal/ucla game, but we're going up early to enjoy the city & all its glory. can't wait! unfortunately (or hm. fortunately?) i'm going to be in hawaii for the cal-sc game, so i guess i'll be watching the game from there. good thing i'm going to hawaii, because i just got another email notification from payroll saying i'm about to hit my 35-day PTO max again.

4. last, but not least, i have a ridiculous $300 at my company's gear store. suggestions?
