chicago or bust!

so when i said i need to take PTO, i really did. so i just booked a trip yesterday to chicago for an extended weekend next weekend (ok, more than extended weekend, i took 4 days off). yay! joy & i got a pretty good last-minute deal. and we'll have eric as a tour guide for part of the time, even though olivia thinks we're crazy to use eric as a tour guide. (i can just imagine it now... he gets us lost and takes us to the ghetto and makes up some story along the way...)

tomorrow i have to be at stanford at 7am for my MRI, so i have to leave my house by 6:40am. omg that is EARLY! i should have just scheduled the MRI at the place i've been going to for all my previous MRIs - it's an open machine (so not a claustrophobic tube) and they always have appointments available at all hours. it's just... last time, my MRI got lost, and i had to do a mad chase to hunt it down before my doctor appointment. and i'm going to have to sign my life away again since they're injecting the dye in me again.

by the way, i'm excited for the upcoming football season. lots of hype around cal this year, and hopefully they won't disappoint. go bears! and, uh, go niners, even if you and your management suck! :)
